Recognition at Can Xargay during the institutional ceremony of the 10th anniversary of Benvinguts a Pagès

The 10th anniversary celebration of ‘Benvinguts a Pagès’ pays tribute to Can Xargay.

On Thursday, 18 September 2025, the 10th anniversary celebration of "Benvinguts a Pagès" took place at the Pedralbes Palace in Barcelona.

The event was attended by the Minister of Business and Labour and the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of the Generalitat de Catalunya, who recognised the 15 rural accommodations throughout Catalonia that have been committed to the Benvinguts a Pagès project since its inception, including the holiday rural house Can Xargay.

Benvinguts a Pagès is a project that was launched in 2016 as part of Catalonia's bid to become European Region of Gastronomy, with the aim of raising awareness of the work of Catalan farmers among the general public. The range of agri-food producers is also complemented by rural houses and restaurants who contribute to the promotion of local and regional products.
